No Kill - Our Way.... "Who Pays to Support Shelters?"
In such trying times, we do not want shelters to suffer from the lack of public support, but we do want governments and larger organizations to know that we, as tax payers, volunteers and donors, refuse to pay for killing innocent and basically healthy animals.... N.K.A.U.'s no kill movement starts with the basics, that we as people - have rights! We, as people, do have venues to pursue that assure that these rights are exercised within our governing bodies. There are a few primary topics relating to becoming no kill, that need to be brought to the forefront. These topics deal with the mannerism of people in general and an education that needs to be promoted. The problem with the concept as to why some people view animals as property, is because, to them, it's evident that animals are plentiful, dispensable and replaceable. It is a frame of mind that has been reality for too many years. To change this, is to change the reality so that animals are no longer plentiful, dispensable and replaceable. Pets are not products and are to be respected as companions we co-existence with , on this planet called earth. We have to face the fact that not all people care about animals. We have to face the fact that when some people hear others talking about animals - their first reaction is "oh no, more of those crazy animal people!! Why don't they do more for kids or abused women or those who are starving around the world?" and in a sense, they have a point, however, what they fail to bring to mention is that there are many organizations around the world that deal specifically with those issues and are making some wonderful progress. To those of us who advocate for animals, we know all too well the cruelty imposed on their innocent lives, that reflect back to the human race..... and by taking a stand, we can create a better understanding of why we have so much child abuse, women abuse and starvation in our world. NO Kill - Our Way, makes us have a good look within ourselves, to seek betterment. It's taking on the responsibility, of our actions and what we accept and don't accept as a society. What is it that we accept to be our human rights and what is it that we don't...... "every day is enriched with the innocence of loyal, loving animals in our lives - we speak for them and can defend them with our human rights! Fight for Our Rights so we stand ground on changes for the Rights of Animals!" |

His understanding and open minded willingness of compromise, is justified with respect to people and animals. |
